Questions

What does the money pay for?

Keeping the site running: the server, its backups, the certificate and the time to look after it. There are no ads and nothing is sold to anyone.

How will paying work?

Through PayPal, once payments are switched on. A monthly or yearly Crew Pass can be cancelled any time and runs to the end of the period you paid for. The Journey Ticket is a single $1.00 payment for 30 days and does not renew.

What happens to a crew if a pass ends?

Nothing is deleted. The crew keeps its walks, its map and its stamps; it just goes back to the free limits (6 walkers, the short journeys, 8 weeks in the chart).

Is this a fundraiser or a charity walk?

No. Commonmile is a small paid web tool. It does not collect donations or pledges for anyone, and it is not a nonprofit.
